The Baycorp business was established in 1956 and has become one of the most successful businesses in the mercantile industry. Because of the long running service that Baycorp has provided they know that experience, processes and the people that they invest in are essential to a consistent and well respected service across Australia and New Zealand.
Recently Baycorp celebrated the success of its Western Australia team who completed a significant milestone in their professional development – 13 Baycorp team members graduated with qualifications from the Australian College of Commerce and Management.
The recent graduates undertook a dual qualification tailored specifically for Baycorp employees, consisting of Certificate III in Financial Services and Certificate III in Mercantile Agents. Baycorp is a company that believes all employees, no matter where they are located, should be equally trained to a high standard giving them the same opportunities and development they deserve.
The Australian College has a history of offering quality education Australia wide. This, combined with the ability to tailor courses for company specific needs, makes it the ideal partnership. It ensures that all employees within Baycorp have the necessary qualifications to deliver professional and consistent service that their clients expect.
Baycorp are one of many national clients of the Australian College that value the seamless and flexible way the College delivers quality programs across the country: a truly national training provider.
On Tuesday 19th May 2015, Baycorp held the graduation in their Perth office for the 12 employees that completed their Certificate III in Financial Services and Certificate III in Mercantile Agents, and one employee who graduated Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
All Baycorp employees were present to celebrate the graduation with awards presented by Western Australia State Operations Manager, Chris Bond and The Australian College’s Business Development Manager, Tania Holmes.
Chris Bond appreciates the value of the Certificate III qualification in the Baycorp team. “It’s a very competitive world and employees are made aware at induction and in one-on-ones with their individual team leaders of the opportunities and whole approach to their careers, which includes study”.
“All staff participate in the graduation because it is great recognition of achievement in a busy world, to balance personal life and work commitments to complete their qualification.”
Since 2004, The Australian College of Commerce and Management has successfully trained over 400 Baycorp employees across its Western Australia and New South Wales operations. This ongoing 10 year relationship demonstrates the pride we at the Australian College take in the relationships we build with employers and their staff.
